This is an aromatic style orange wine, completely natural and unfiltered made with Kerner and Riesling. There is extended skin contact which results in developed flavours of baked apples, honey and nectarine. It is a lively orange wine with a citrus finish. Crafted using natural winemaking techniques, it boasts a beautiful golden hue and a rich, full-bodied texture. On the nose, it exudes a bouquet of dried apricots, wildflowers, and hints of honey. On the palate, it reveals layers of flavours, including notes of orange peel, lemon zest, and a subtle nuttiness. Being unfiltered and unfined, the natural flavours and aromas of the grapes shine through. It has been fermented using wild yeasts and aged in oak barrels for several months, resulting in a wine with a balanced acidity and a long, lingering finish.

Postopoma is a field blend of Riesling and Kerner. The grapes are harvested and carefully selected under the full moon and fermented on their skins for 14 days followed by maturation in old barrels. The wine is bottled with minimal addition of sulfur and is unfined and unfiltered. It is a rich and bone – dry orange wine with great minerality. It greets with yellow pear, backed apple and lychee that combine with salty character.

Matic are a north-eastern Slovenian winery located in Stajerska which borders Austria and Hungary. It is an old family run estate, now run by Matija Žerjav (known by his friends as Matic) who uses absolutely no chemical interventions in the vineyard or winery. The cellar itself dates back to 1852 and reflects the stripped back and raw nature of the wines.

Matija Žerjav is a tireless experimenter when it comes to winemaking. He tends his 9 hectares of vineyards biodynamically, harvests according to the moon cycles and tries all kinds of techniques in the cellar, with a goal to make expressive, natural wines with the lowest intervention possible. Matic Postopoma Orange is a brilliant result of these experiments.
