KRÁSNÁ Hora, or Beautiful Mountain, are on the gently sloping mountains in Dolni Poddvorov town, close to the Slovakian border. They own 8 hectares, and most of these vineyards were first planted by Cistercian monks in the 13th century, going back to 800 years ago. In the winery, minimum intervention is followed. All red wines and increasing number of white wines go through longer elevage. Whites are given more time to spend on its lees in large barrels. Use of So2 is kept low. They believe that when work in the vineyard has been done properly they can take a hands off approach in the winery and intervene only when they see it necessary.
