The grapes from this wine come from 70-year-old vines in the villages of Morgon and Fleurie. Another deceptively deep wine, yet silky smooth on the palate as you would expect from a Beaujolais. Cherries and wild red berries on the nose with a cocoa bitterness to it. There is an almost menthol edge to the palate with citrus freshness and acidity backed up by some earthy notes on the finish.

Organic, Vegan, No added sulfur

The domaine was founded by Marie and the late Marcel Lapierre in association with Jean-Claude Chanudet in 1995. Between them they purchased the then bankrupt estate and have since breathed new life into the vineyards and cellar. The 13 hectares of Gamay vines are located mainly in Morgon although there is a small parcel of vines in Cotes du Py.
