Country: Czech Republic
Producer: Petr Koráb
Bottle Size: 75cl
Hints of blackcurrant, blueberry, berry jam, peony, pomegranate, and a touch of oaky earthy notes. As with all Korab reds this is fresh and fruity with just a touch of wild funk. A good touch of complexity and a medium body with well integrated tannins.

When it comes to this region few names draw the plaudits as much as Petr Korab. His wines are often super smashable but even though they have a fun element to them, the wines give you a taste of something deeper, all aligned in perfect harmony. Petr’s main focus has been on old vineyards since the beginning – preservation of vineyards became his main objective. Petr’s intention is to preserve old vineyards as a significant landscaping element of a Moravian village, and, first of all, to make authentic Moravian wines from grapes harvested in these vineyards. Petr doesn’t only grow grapes and makes wine, but an important part of his holistic approach is to rear sheep, goats and bees to create balanced farming.
