100% Cabernet Moravia – this is a crossing of Cabernet Franc and Zweigelt. And for all Cabernt Franc lovers – this is a must. That peppery character, touch of blackcurrant leaf, red fruit such as red plums, cherries, slight floral touch. On the palate, it has good suppleness and a lushness about it. And the characteristic expression of the unique soils here bring out some of that amazing minerality like in all Zdenek’s wines.

Unfiltered, Unfined, Low Sulfur, Vegan

ZDENEK’S vineyards are in the famous Hostěrádky-Rešov area. He works a day job as a train station master in a nearby town, and the rest of his time he is absorbed in cultivating 1.5 ha of land organically, which also includes old some vines planted in 1953. With winegrowing and cellaring being a family tradition for them, owning and producing wine for Zdenek seemed like the natural thing to do.

Zdenek’s wines come from a very unique area, which is an ancient sea bed and the hills/slopes on which the vineyards are now on were underwater cliffs. Pure limestone soils really brings an intense and saline character to the Gruner Veltliner, Rieslings, Chardonnay, Neuburger in whites and Cabernet Moravia, St Laurent and Pinot Noir in reds.
